Poems
From Daniel Crabtree
I have a reputation of being someone who can get things done and of being able to do incredible feats (maybe I should add some examples?). By that I mean, I can do substantial amounts of work in an incredibly short time period. I also tend to keep a lot of things on my plate and juggle a hundred things all at once. I often amaze other people and even myself with what I can achieve. This has lead some people to ask me, how can I do that? or how should I manage my time? or how can I manage all these demands on my time? It was with this in mind that I came up with the following poem. It was meant to describe something that you should do, to keep yourself working on those things that you really don't want to do. Something I find is that, when I am not working on something, I really want to do everything else but that thing I really have to do. Yet when I am working on the other things, I really don't want to do them and would even like to do the things I didn't want to do before. Also, I am trying to follow my own advice, I think given my supposedly amazing abilities, I should be able to do so much more. So I will try and follow this too. So anyway, the poem:
if you have some task you hate
and want to take a break,
make sure your break
is something else you hate,
lest you procrastinate
